Are there any investment wizards working or retired that can tell me about two investments that I have? I have Hartford Leaders variable annuity, and I have Metlife Investors insurance company. I have lost $22,000.00 on Hartford since the beginning of last year. Please tell me what you think about these two companies. Thanks
Are These Good Investments?

Variable annuities are just a way for the insurance company to get rich. You could easily invest in no load mutual funds and get a better return. If you want an annuity, always go for fixed rate annuities.

you should also look into segregated funds as well because they offer a capital protection guarantee as well if you keep the investment for 10 years with them.
are you in a DCA program with Hatford ?
