What is the JG Wentworth and is it a stupid thing to deal with them?

When I mean is that I don’t anyone should ever live paycheck to paycheck or ever be in such a tight financial spot, no matter what. The thought of it just makes me shake my head in sadness and pity for anyone is such a situation.

No one should ever have need a loan, unless it’s for a big purchase like a car or a house. Don’t you agree?

I have $50,000.00 sitting in a trust fund at an insurance company. Now my brother has the same and he went through JG Wentworth to get his out early and lost $20,000.00 on the deal. Now are there places that will loan me a small amount (like $5,000-$10,000) that way i dont have to cash out my whole value and lose a large amount. Now i know that they (JGW) can buy a portion of it but i will still lose a lot i just want a small loan that wont make me lose too much money. This is what they offered me: $31,000.00 for my whole contract or $16,000.00 and then $15,000.00 in 2012 when i am supposed to receive it. NOW I DONT WANT TO HEAR JUST WAIT FOR THE MONEY BECAUSE IT AINT WORTH IT BECAUSE I NEED MONEY FOR COLLEGE SO I CAN GET MY CAREER AND BUSINESS STARTED SO GIVE ME OPTIONS ON A PLACE THAT WILL LOAN ME MONEY AND NOT TRY TO JUST BUYOUT MY SETTLEMENT.

Does anyone know where i can find the JG Wentworth commercial with everyone yelling “its my money and i need it now” out their window?..i want to send it to someone..its so stupid

One of the few commercials where I hit the “mute” button..The insanity of people shouting out of their windows like that irritates the heck out of me.

Has anyone ever noticed that on almost all the J.G. Wentworth commercials they change their phone number? I was wondering if this had anything to do with them being scam artists? Is their company real? Or bullshit.

I was going to pay $1000.00 a month into this annunity act,but decided not to do this,this was 5 months ago,should I get JG Wentworth to cash me out at a discount or what? My broker told me I cant get my money back for 7 years,when I signed , What to DO?

I am a 25 year old male. I have been receiving an annuity since I was 18, and I was scheduled to to receive it until I turned 29. This probably doesn’t seem wise to most, but I just settled the rest of annuity with JG Wentworth for a lump sum of $27,000.
So, basically, beyond paying off debt and traveling, I want to take a good portion of this money and invest.Problem is, I haven’t the slightest idea how any of it works, and I guess I don’t want to get too deep into it either (meaning I have no plan on buying individual stocks.)
Basically, I want to invest in a retirement account and a mutual fund. If I take $10,000 dollars and split it up between the two, is that going to be enough to see any return? If I invest in a mutual fund, will other people take care of all the investing for me, without me having to be schooled on the stock market? Are mutual funds a better choice than just reinvesting in CD’s every 3 or 6 months?

ok, this company JJ or JG Wentworth says they will pay all proceeds upfront…does this include Lottery winnings?

If it does, then will it be to my benefit not get the lump sum payment because CA will take 50% if I do. Now I just go to JG and offer him 25% if he gives me the lump sum?

now, i get 75% now! and JG gets 25% extra!!

I have an annuity that I can’t touch til 9-01-2010…I need money now and I called MetLife who holds the annuity and they absolutely refuse to send me any of it til 9-01-2010. Since the money was from profit sharing at a company I used to work for and the company took out the annuity for me I can’t change the rules…I contacted JG Wentworth and they can’t even help me (they pay out lump sums for a fee against annuities, structured settlements etc.) they can’t help because I am not the one who set up the annuity….anybody out there have an suggestions as to what I can do to get some money…I don’t want all of it, only about $3000.00
